Are you seeking your next opportunity as a professional nanny and interested in being represented by The Perfect Pair Agency? Here’s what we look for during our screening process and the minimum requirements to join our network:

  • At least 3 years of recent childcare experience (including a minimum of 2 years as a professional nanny in a private home).

  • High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred).

  • Strong childcare references (minimum of 3).

  • Ability to provide employment verification for all roles listed on your resume.

  • A professional nanny resume and cover letter.

  • Willingness to commit to a family for at least 1 year.

  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.

  • A clean criminal record and driving record.

  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain it before starting a new position).

  • A valid driver’s license or state ID (in areas where driving is not required).

  • Reliable, insured vehicle (in areas where driving is necessary).

  • At least 21 years of age.

  • Non-smoker.

Candidate Screening Process

We ensure every candidate in our network meets the highest standards of professionalism, safety, and care. Here’s how we do it:

  • DETAILED APPLICATION

    Candidates begin by completing a thorough online application to showcase their experience, qualifications, and skills.

  • IN-DEPTH PHONE INTERVIEW

    Qualified applicants participate in a comprehensive phone interview, where we explore their approach to childcare and assess their situational judgment.

  • IN-PERSON INTERVIEW

    During the face-to-face interview, we assess their professionalism, personality, and ability to excel as part of The Perfect Pair network.

  • REFERENCE CHECK

    We contact at least three professional references to verify the candidate’s experience and receive feedback on their performance. Only candidates with outstanding reviews move forward.

  • Work History Verification

    We confirm the candidate’s employment or education history for the past seven years, ensuring they meet our professional standards.

  • SOCIAL MEDIA & INTERNET PRESENCE REVIEW

    (Included in Premium Package) For families choosing our premium placement package, we perform a detailed review of the candidate’s social media and internet presence to ensure a professional and appropriate online footprint.

  • COMPREHENSIVE BACKGROUND CHECK

    Our background screening covers criminal history, national sex offender registry, and driving records, providing peace of mind for your family.

  • EXPERIENCE & AGE VERIFICATION

    All candidates must have at least two years of professional childcare experience and be at least 20 years old. We carefully select only the best professionals for your family.

  • CPR & FIRST AID CERTIFICATION

    Candidates must hold an active CPR and First Aid certification or be willing to obtain certification within the first 30 days of hire
